Get AX on the machine.

One source workspace, separate native builds for Windows, macOS and Linux; WSL uses the Linux build. The installer fetches the release archive, verifies it against SHA256SUMS, then installs a single binary.

$ ax --version

$ ax run "hello from a real machine"

Windows, Linux and macOS archives ship with this release and are verified against SHA256SUMS before installation.

environment variables

AX_VERSION: Install a specific release tag instead of the latest
AX_INSTALL_DIR: Override the install directory
AX_HOME: Override the AX home (defaults to <install-dir>/.ax)

AXCrew · control plane

Then the control plane.

AXCrew is the desktop and Android client that connects those AX nodes. Desktop installers cover Windows x64, Linux x64/ARM64 and macOS Intel/Apple Silicon.

macOS installers are unsigned and not notarized; Android is unchanged. Desktop version 0.3.13.
